Family Eye Care Centers in Murphy, NC and Andrews, NC
After completing residencies in the summer of 1996, Drs. Lynn and Jeff Taylor moved back to Cherokee County and started Peachtree Family Eye Care. In 1999, Drs. Taylor purchased the office of retiring optometrist, Dr. Dale Garland, in Andrews.
It was renamed Andrews Family Eye Care and thus started the Family Eye Care “chain.” (That is a reference to one of Lynn’s favorite movies Steel Magnolias (1989) when Dolly Parton’s character Truvy became the owner of two beauty shops and exclaimed, ”I don’t believe it! I’m a chain!”)
